I have spent most of life in cities. I love being close to my friends, finding entertainment on any given day and the mix of cultures. I thrive in a fast past environment but only for so long. Once it hits about six to eight weeks of pure city life I start to get resentful. I start to lose appreciation for my opportunities. The busy sidewalks and traffic start to feel claustrophobic. My brain is fried and all my efforts seem to suck.

Sometimes I want to pack up just the necessities and run to the country. Unfortunately that is not always an option. Over the years I have learned to manage this urge so I don’t make any drastic decisions.

Although I am sharing what works for me. It might not work for everyone. I acknowledge that this isn’t the solution to all life woes or managing stress. These four tips works as a great reset for day to day life.
