Sailing Through The City Lahore

Lahore the capital of Pakistani province Punjab is the country’s second-most populous city of the country. It’s the home of the rich cultural heritage of Punjab region and one of the most socially liberal, progressive and cosmopolitan cities. The city which is known for beauty, festivals, passion, life and traditions is loved by most of the people. It’s one of the main cities which played an important role during the independence of 1947. Thousands of tourists visit Lahore to see the rich culture and Islamic traditions of the city. I was also invited to see the city’s history and remember the changes the city has gone through. Although I wasn’t able to participate in the whole activity; I’ll try to portray what was it like during this whole day, so please bear it with me and lets dive in through this whole day. Chalo :)

Let me tell you first who were the main roles of our outdoor session. Usman, Salman, and Farhan were the main roles for the outdoor session. They not only planned the whole day but also arranged the necessary logistics the day before. Everyone was quite excited for this day as this was nothing less than a fresh bone-chilling breeze after a quite hot day. If it wasn’t for them batch 105 wouldn’t have the most memorable day of the fellowship. Everyone gathered at amal to start this last journey together early in the morning in a coaster bus. The first stop was Old Anarkali for breakfast and after that all the way to the old city of Lahore to see the beautiful history of our culture. Farhan did a great job in capturing all the moments of this trip.

Scary Stories to tell in the dark — ATC —#AmalTravels

Once we were done with the film a fellow requested me to drop him on the bike at Amal campus. During this whole time writing this article I forgot about the envelope which I was supposed to open it at the end of our day. Sir If you’re reading this please forgive me I did open the envelope at the end of the trip while standing outside the amal campus. :) It was the token of change with a message written by sir just for me. Dear Sir, I’m following your message and soon you’ll get a piece of good news very soon. Insha Allah :D

Though the day itself was pretty hot , the time spent with these beautiful people is something that’s marked in memory lane for the rest of my life. The fellowship taught me not only to become a life long learner but also on maintaining a healthy lifestyle while working.

Thank you Sir Awais, Ma’am Mishal and most importantly Thank you Sir Benje Williams and Kunal Chawla for starting this initiative in transforming the young souls of Pakistan.
