Too wild to be kept as a garden

and one day she realized
she was too wild
to be kept as a garden.
And so she became a forest,
untouched by man.

Nourishing each spirit
that thrived within her world,
she danced and rose
with all of her wild embodiment.

Each passing night,
her treetops would be kissed by the heavens,
and the moons light
would caress her forest floor.
Each day the sun would honor her
as she painted with the spirit of creation.

She’d become a guardian to all those
who’d found her heart
because she knew
that just like her,
they were on a quest to find their wild.
