Installing Drupal 8 on AWS EC2 and RDS

3. Install httpd and php70:
sudo amazon-linux-extras install -y lamp-mariadb10.2-php7.2 php7.2
sudo yum install -y httpd

5. Configure httpd. Change AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf at block <Directory “/var/www/html”>

5. Launch httpd:
sudo systemctl start httpd
sudo systemctl enable httpd

6. Create RDS DEV/Test MySQL (free tier) instance with remote access.

7. Upload Drupal8 to the EC2 instance using SFTP. You must use your PPK certificate for connecting (using FileZilla, FAR or antother FTP-client)

8. unzip Drupal8 to /var/www/html

9. set owner and permissions:
chmod -R 775 /var/www/html
chown -R apache:apache /var/www/html
10. Create settings.php:
cp /var/www/html/sites/default/default.settings.php /var/www/html/sites/default/settings.php

11. Go to your web browser and type your EC2 adrress. Drupall8 install wizzard will started

12. Configure DB for Drupal8. Use endpoint, port, login and password wich was created early:

You are done.
