A Player in the Definition of a 5G Future

HypeLabs Attending Ericsson’s Innovation Day in Aachen

In line with Ericsson’s vision of generating healthy grass-root innovation, the Swedish player has created a program called Ericsson ONE. Its aim is to provide environments and resources for start-ups and tech entrepreneurs so that they can together generate cutting edge solutions to today’s problems.

After winning this year’s batch of the Ericsson Dragon’s Den pitch competition along with 10 other teams, HypeLabs has partnered with Ericsson to collaborate and co-create to find the best possible use of our technology in the connected society of tomorrow. In a nutshell, we want our mesh networking software to one day be the communication layer on every connected device in the world. User cases would range from IoT in cities, cars or homes, social networking, events, disaster relief and more.

The first commercial launches of 5G are happening this year and they are going to turn our world upside down. Indeed, even though there have been smaller scale deployments all around the globe, the first commercial 5G deployments at scale are happening in North America as we speak, and we are very excited to be part of it.

In this spirit, today our boys are attending the Ericsson’s Innovation Day in Aachen where a number of technology experts from various segments are meeting to discuss the various possible business application scenarios to develop and enrich the 5G ecosystem. Technology is our society’s driving force, and most specifically, 5G will push innovation even further. It will enable us to create the most intelligent and efficient networks and offer competitive solutions to businesses and people by considerably decreasing costs or provide tools. Numerous things that were once abstract ideas will be turned into reality.
