The biggest writing mistakes I’ve made recently

I am not a writing coach, except perhaps to myself, but I recognize some mistakes I’ve made recently that have really hindered my progress.

I think that if I had gone with my orginal idea of “I Skinny Dipped Regularly In The Pacific Ocean” instead of “What Is This Bougie Ass Shit” I would have gotten a lot more interest in the article. It’s the same article with either title, but one offers a more exciting story than the other.

I tried to write something in the style that St. Paul might use if he were to write a letter to the evangelical or fundamentalist churches in the modern day USA, but I don’t think it went very well. Some of my ideas are really good, but this one wasn’t one of them. It was a spur of the moment idea which means I should have put more thought into it before publishing.
