I Only Know . . .

the kind of man he is not

I recently met a new man — and I wondered
if he might be the right one for me.

I do not like to judge . . . and I do not like
to see unkindly — but how else can I know?

I therefore chose to view according to what
I do know. . . from my experiences of the past.

My husband was the perfect role model for
determining the reality of what is and what is not.

Is he can kind, gentle, warm and friendly ?. . .
Loving, caring, and comfortable to be with? . . .

The list could go on with the many other beautiful
attributes he possessed — but I shall end it here.

Perhaps I am being unfair to this new man
— and then again . . . perhaps I am not.

I honestly do not know the kind of man he is
— I only know the kind of man he is not.
