Astrology Jan 7 2023. Joy

The Full Moon delivered chaos but not the justice I was hoping for. However, no astrological aspects happen in a vacuum and there could be major changes of direction as Mars, Mercury, Uranus, and Pallas Athena turn direct over the next 5/6 weeks and as they retrace the degrees f their retrogrades. Major disfunction was illuminated, however.

Of course I am referring mainly to the Speaker election in the US House but also big storms also caused major coastal damage In California and Western Australia has devastating flooding in the Kimberley. This watery full moon packed a punch.

Todays still Full Cancer Moon squares shit stirrer Eris and opposes shit excavator Pluto bringing more discordant revelations and over the top emotions. A sextile from retrograde Mercury in Capricorn to Vesta in Pisces brings focused reflection on what we need to change moving forward.

The Moon moves into fiery, dramatic Leo this evening and makes a lovely trine to Jupiter in Aries and a more tense opposition to Venus in Aquarius. This will bring a lift emotion. Optimism will abound as the Moon moves back in bounds and aspects the two benefics. The Moon will also sextile Ceres in Libra bringing our focus to self care and restoration of balance.

Courage to face the world and it’s issues will return and creativity and fun is to be had.

It’s also the Julian calendar/Orthodox Christmas and we are (not by design) having a second Christmas Day as our youngest couldn’t be here on Dec 25th so I plan on enjoying that Leo moon vibe as it approaches. But starting with the family vibe of the Cancer Moon
